Our Focus is You

Where will you use your images? What do you wish to convey?

Our clients are actors, lawyers, executives, medical professionals… Different people with different goals. No cookie-cutter solutions here. Before your shoot, we’ll dive into your needs, purpose, apparel, and more.

The goal - better headshots and a great experience.

Uncomfortable being in front of a camera? We can relate.
If you “own it” in front of the lens, we get that too.

That’s why we’re here.

  • Ellen Kolikoff

    Partner

My father, civil engineer by day, photographer afterwards, was my first photography teacher. From letting me watch him develop and print from film in our kitchen darkroom when I was little, then assist when older, he passed his knowledge and love of the craft to me. From this, first family, friends, and now clients have quality images to recall the moments, people and events that count for them.
My intent: for you to enjoy the experience and love your imagery.

  • Nat Nichols

    Partner

My photography interest started in the 1970’s, I was shooting for profit by ‘76 and in 2014 after years in the corporate world incorporated it and film-making into the media related businesses I run with Ellen.
My perspective: Your headshot needs to work for you - convey the message you want whether it’s personal, business, branding or performance-related. A little added fun wouldn’t hurt too. I look forward to shooting with you.

  • Nala

    Office Manager

I attended Drew University (NJ) for one year – dropping out before being “dismissed” for excessive partying. Contemplating my options, I decided my entertaining nature would be most advantageous in a creative business environment. Nat and Ellen agree.

How it works

Before we start the session, we'll discuss how you expect your images to work for you.

We shoot "tethered" which means you see your photos on a big computer screen. It's easy for you to see how you're looking. As needed we coach you on expression, confidence, and more… the little things that make the difference. We keep it relaxed and take as much time as needed to capture the real you – authentic smiles and all. You'll be surprised at how much fun you'll have.

At the end of the session, we review your images and pick your favorites to be professionally retouched. Order the amount you like. You are not locked into a package or set number of images.
